Nuestro misión es “Educar, empoderar, y organizar residentes Latines para crear vecindarios seguros, saludables, y conectados. Creemos que la seguridad, confianza, y harmonia son la base para igualdad. Para lograr esta igualdad en nuestras comunidades, comenzamos con empatia y la disponibilidad de escuchar y dar seguimiento a las necesidades de la comunidad. Como promotoras de salud, construimos relaciones y connecciones con la comunidad y sistemas de poder (gobiernos, organizaciones comunitarias, politicas, etc) para aumentar la confianza y credibilidad de estas sistemas. Esta confianza y coneccion es fundamental para lograr seguridad y auto-confianza para abogar para las necesidades de su familia y comunidad.

We believe that security/safety, trust, and harmony are the foundation of equity. To realize equity in our communities, we must start with empathy and the ability to listen and respond to the needs of the community. As Community Health Workers (promotoras de salud), we build relationships and connections between community members and systems of power (government, community organizations, politicians, etc.) to increase trust and credibility of those systems. This trust and connection is fundamental to achieving safety and self-confidence to advocate for the needs of your family and community.
